PLACING ORDERS AND MAKING PAYMENTS

1. How to placing an order?


Orders are placed by filling in the Order Form – for your convenience, a link to this form is available with every product, or by e-mail at info@mcwood.lt or phone at +37067601246

2. How will I understand that my order has been accepted and is being prepared?

Once we receive a completed Order Form or an order sent to us by e-mail, we will CONTACT you. We will then discuss the terms and conditions in detail. We will prepare and send you a commercial offer, complete with the price and an estimated deadline. We will also discuss and reach an agreement on all technical matters, if any, as well as the delivery and installation plan. We will send you an invoice for pre-payment, and once you have paid the invoice, we will begin making your order.

3. Do I have to make an advance payment on my order? If so, what is the amount?

Yes, you do. The advance payment is 50 % of the order amount.

4. What payment options are available?

The payment options are a wire transfer or cash.

DELIVERIES AND RETURNS

1. What are the delivery prices?

If you order an installation service, the delivery will always be free. 
Orders that do not include an installation service qualify for free delivery within the city of Kaunas. 
When no installation service is ordered, the price to deliver products within a distance of 100 kilometres is EUR 30 plus VAT.

200 km – 60 eur + PVM. 

Arrangements for deliveries of large orders will be made on a case-by-case basis.

2. What are the installation prices?

The installation prices are within the range of EUR 20 and EUR 50, plus VAT. They are agreed upon for each individual project, based on how complex that project is.

3. Does the price include the cost of installation? Could I install the products myself?


No. The price of the order does not include the cost of installation. You can opt for an installation service at the time of placing your order. Of course, you can choose to install the products yourself.

4. In what cases can I return the product?

You can return the product if it does not conform to its specifications in relation to the measurements, colour, quality or it is visibly damaged.

5. My order was damaged during the delivery. What should I do?

If your order was damaged during transportation, please contact us as soon as practicable by e-mail at info@mcwood.lt or by phone at +37067601246. Please take pictures of the damage and send them to us at the above e-mail address.


6. What countries can you deliver your products to?

We make deliveries across Lithuania. We also ship our products to most European countries. Please contact us by e-mail at info@mcwood.lt or by phone at +37067601246 to find out whether we are able to deliver the product to a particular country.

PRODUCT INSTALLATION

1. How are the panels installed on walls?

The panels are installed by screwing them onto the wall or a frame, via the existing gap between the slats. The panels can also be glued directly onto the wall using installation-grade glue. We use http://www.kiilto.lt/lt/produktai/kiilto-premium-ypac-stiprus-fiksavimo-klijai/.

2. How are the slats fixed on the walls?

The slats are fixed onto the walls with installation-grade glue. 

3. Should I choose the slats or pre-made panels?

That depends on your situation. If you have a wall that has been prepared and painted, you could choose to only add girders that are glued directly on the wall. However, if the walls have not been prepared, panels are the better option because you will receive a complete product with the foundation painted according to your choice, which will cover the existing wall.

4. What is the base to which the oad slats are attached?

The slats are installed on an 8 mm MDF background. The are fixed with special stamples using a stapler gun.

5. Can the slats and the panels be used outdoors or in a humid indoor environment?

No, they cannot, because the slats are made from an MDF panel laminated with a natural oak shell. The MDF panel is not suitable for use in humid areas.

6. Are the slats easy to clean?

Yes, they are. The slats are varnished or oiled, and can be cleaned just like any other indoor furniture.

7. Can I choose the colour of the slats?

Yes, there are several oil colour options available. If necessary, the slats can also be stained with a wider choice of colours, or the paint can be made in a colour to match your sample (this will cost extra).

8. Can I choose the colour of the background?

Yes, you can. The standard colour of the background is black. However, it can be painted according to the RAL or NCS code furnished to us.

9. Does dust accumulate between the slats?

Dust can accumulate, but only to a minimal extent, because the slats standing vertical and dust tends to gather on horizontal surfaces. As a result, the product just requires the same care as any other elements around your house.

10. Would the panels or the slats be difficult to install myself?

The panels are very easy to install. If you have a screwdriver or have experience with using installation-grade glue, you will be able to install the panels and the slats easily by yourself. Should you have any questions, we will always be happy to answer them.

11. Can the panels and the slats be used in a bathroom?

We do not recommend installing the panels or the slats where there is an elevated level of humidity, because a higher-than-usual humidity concentration can damage the product. But we can offer solid oak slats for that areas.

12. Can the panel be adapted to add electrical sockets?

Yes. It can. We do that. Once on the installation site, our specialists will measure the location of the socket and make a hole in the MDF panel, so that we can install the electrical socket on top of the panel.
